For the third straight year, Art Way Alliance will be at the Key School for the Annapolis Book Festival. Come see our artists, buy great works, discuss comics, and participate in the following fantastic demos and workshops on drawing and animation.

10:00 AM - 11:00 AM: 3 Word Drawing Game - Using only 3 words provided by the audience, some of which will certainly pertain to the Girl Scouts, Darren Soto creates an original drawing that is sure to impress.   After a few rounds, join in on the fun by creating your own creative drawings

11:00 AM - 12:00 PM Design Your Own Sci-Fi Character Tyrone Barnes shows the basics of character design in this science fiction driven workshop. Explore how depicting a character's appearance, clothing, and body language come together to create original content.

12:00 PM - Stop Motion Animation - Jake Heagy shows interested participants how to imitate movies like Boxtrolls by showing how to use dolls, action figures, and other figurines to create their won stop motion cartoon.

2:00 PM - 3:00 PM:  The Basics of Animation - Jimmy Horner  teaches participants how to create their own cartoons by showing them the basic principles of animation. Anything is possible in this workshop!

3:00 PM - 4:00 PM: Writing for Comic Books - Red Stylo owner and editor Enrica Jang teaches how to create your own dynamic stories. She also provides insight to what editors want to see from comic book creators.
