River Con's second year is looking to be even better than ever. Held at Belmont Ridge Middle School, this celebration of art, gaming, literature, and popular media will be one for the ages. Art Way Alliance will be there with the following artists and workshops: 

2:00 PM - 3:00 PM Drawing Anime Characters with Liz Staley Students who attend this class how to create their own characters with this Manga Studio 5, a commonly used software. This workshop will focus on structure, anatomy, and body language. 

3:00 PM - 4:00 PM How to Make Comics with Keir Lyles. In this class, students will become acquainted with these occupations as they develop their own artistic skills. They will also define their own style of drawing while working together in groups.

4:00 PM - 5:00 PM Character Development Workshop with Tyrone Selby. Come learn how to research, design and define their own character. Student in turn will develop their own character that is dynamic and interesting.

4:30 PM - 5:30 PM Writing for Comic Books & Graphic Novels with Jordan Clark. Participants in this workshop learn how to write the scripts that comic book artists use to bring dynamic stories to life. 

Kofi Simmons and Jose Rafael Cruzpagan will also be there throughout the day teaching inking and coloring! We can't wait to see you!
