Mission!
Art Way Alliance is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization whose mission is:
1) to educate students in various subjects by merging education with popular media art techniques and tropes.
2) to provide everyone with the tools and techniques needed to produce their own creative work.
3) to support artists in the advertisement and marketing of their own work.
Art Way Alliance accomplishes this mission by teaching students how to conceptualize, create and market their own original content. Whether in a classroom, library, or convention space, Art Way Alliance emphasizes the educational value of comic books, anime, video games and other creative content by using art integration and STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math) techniques to educate on common core elements through age appropriate curriculums.

Staff
Eric Suggs, Jr., President
… is a Pop Art Hobbyist and the Founder of Art Way Alliance. He specializes in connecting like-minded people ranging from novices to masters through emerging events and opportunities. Eric helps artists to develop the creativity and style of their artistic voice.
The president of Art Way Alliance since 2013, Eric has helped Art Way Alliance to flourish into the non-profit that it is today. From event coordinator to panelist, contest presenter to classroom manager, he is a man of many disciplines. He is always open to new connections and flourishing partnerships.
Sierra Dangerfield-Harris, Communications Director
… is a pop culture enthusiast and a founding member of Art Way Alliance. Her background in library sciences makes her a talented researcher, organizer, and community advocate.
As the Communications Director, Sierra focuses on conveying the mission and goals of Art Way Alliance. Since the non-profit’s inception, Sierra has assisted in multiple events, classes, and conventions. She thoroughly enjoys helping the students she encounters through Art Way Alliance.
Dennis Johnson, Graphic designer
… joined the team in 2014 after hearing Art Way Alliance’s mission to teach curriculum and skills through comics and video games. He lends his skills as a graphic designer, illustrator, and teacher. Dennis encourages students to be creative in all aspects of life while challenging themselves to learn new mediums and concepts.
Since becoming a member of the administrative team, Dennis has helped Art Way Alliance develop key networks with nonprofit and government organizations. His skills in art, design, and communications have helped to make Art Way Alliance recognizable throughout the DC Metropolitan area. Check out his artist bio below!
