Creative Character Design for Narrative Writing with Bryan Tillman

Bryan Tillman, author of Focal Press’s Creative Character Design, discusses how to combine technique and theory to create characters that are both well drawn and well designed.Topics include archetypes, color, design, silhouettes, story, and much more. Bryan Tillman will also discuss his experience when negotiating contracts for character design.
Drawing Diversity with Middnite Designs

Do your feel your characters are bland or stereotypical? Join Middnite Designs as she tackles the art of creating diverse characters. Come discuss the importance of diversity and representation in all their forms and, if time permits, create your own new and improved character!
Beginners Guide to Voice Acting with Brianna Gregory

Come show off your best voice acting as we run through voice acting exercises and warm ups using sample animation for practice. Brianna Gregory will teach you a few recording methods and discuss simple techniques to improve your voice.
Color Theory And Cosplay With Kurenai Kiba
4:30pm – 5:30pm
Cosplay is an artform so treat it like artwork! Come discover and discuss basic color theory and the right color choices for your cosplay. From enhancing your makeup to finding that right pop of color, learn how to pull from the character's source material and make interesting decisions on your cosplay adaptation. Finally, participate in a group discussion at the end of the panel that will help you with future projects to make your 2D character a 3D reality.
