Pokemon Go & Draw with Kurenai Kiba

Join Artist Kurenai Kiba as she shows you how she draws some of her favorite Pokemon characters. From the original 151 to the Sword and Shield starters, you know you want to draw them all. Participants may even get to create their own original creatures! Bring your Pokedex and creativity!

Creative Character Design for Narrative Writing with Kaiser Studio

Bryan Tillman, author of Focal Press’s Creative Character Design, discusses how to combine technique and theory to create characters that are both well drawn and well designed. Topics include archetypes, color, design, silhouettes, story, and much more. Bryan Tillman will also discuss his experience when negotiating contracts for character design.
Drawing Wonder of Women with Middnite Designs

Come draw an original female character in three stages of life with artist Anna Richardson (Middnite Designs). From a precocious young girl to a capable woman to a spritely woman of power, learn how to use different shapes to design the same character in new ways.

Comic Book Cover Contest

Today, we’re judging a book by its cover. Draw your own comic book illustration that shows an original or established character in a dynamic pose and interesting environment. Contestants must also include eye catching text to advertise the character. (Open for Grade School to College students; seats are limited).
