Join us for the Smudge! Expo on March 14, 2015 at Artisphere in Arlington, VA. In its second year, Smudge! is tackling the theme of Comics in the Classroom  our favorite subject.

Art Way Alliance will host Anime, Manga, and the Basics of Character Design from 5:00 PM - 5:50 PM in the Classroom Area. The class will be taught by Pauli Kohberger, a writer and artist with a specialty in manga and anime from Columbia, Maryland. In this 50 minute class, students will learn the history and defining characteristics of manga and anime. Using the information they learned, students will then create their own character.
